About Me

I am currently a Junior Software Developer. I work on front-end and back-end, basically a Full Stack Developer. As some companies might ask which one do you prefer, I prefer to do the front-end as I get satisfaction of making software visually pleasing. Don't get me wrong I think back-end is very important. In my own time I like to work on myself by going to the gym and working on my personal projects. To relax I go straight to games, music and movies.

Back in 2016, during my GCSEs, I selected my subjects, one of which was Computer Science. During the first couple of months I realised this is the subject for me. Creating software from scratch, not the programming tool, making it my own and trialing different ways to make it more efficient. Along the way there are going to be bugs that arise, this part is also very satisfying to work on as some bugs might take you a while to resolve however the relief after is a good feeling, I'm sure all programmers have been there before. I like the problem-solving aspect of programming.

I set off my career in Software Development in 2020 with programming for fun prior for 7 years. I have created many programs within education, including a treasure hunt game, carpet calculator and a menu program (ordering food). In my own time I like to educate my self on new technologies and frameworks also researching different ways to solve problems.

Logo of SOL

Sol

Sol is a personal project that originated from the thought of making the process of creating a wishlist, for Christmas and Birthdays, easier as it keeps it in one place and eliminates the potential factor of two people buying the same gift. From there it bloomed into a bigger project with more features to help with everyday life.
